Côte-d’Or: yellow vigilance for winds and floods this Monday

The Côte-d’Or begins this new week under an unstable sky, marked by alternating cloudy periods, clearings, and a few showers. This morning, the weather remains relatively calm, but the afternoon promises to be more turbulent. Stormy showers, accompanied by heavy rain, small hail, good gusts of wind and thunderclaps, are expected. In , the temperature is expected to reach 13°C.

Strong winds expected

Météo has placed the department on yellow alert for violent winds, with gusts which could reach 70 to 80 km/h over a large part of the territory. In the Plaine de Saône, south/southwest winds could even blow between 90 and 100 km/h, according to Météo Côte-d’Or. These disrupted weather conditions led local authorities to take precautionary measures, in particular the closure of the Colombière park and the Darcy garden this Monday morning.

Risk of flooding in certain areas

In addition to the wind, Côte-d’Or is also placed on yellow alert for the risk of flooding. The heavy rains recorded in recent days have caused several waterways to react. The Armançon, for example, displays a level of 2.47 m in Quincy-sur-Armançon, with localized overflows possible. La Brenne, in the Montbard sector, is also at a high level, reaching 2.31 m at 4 p.m. yesterday.
