After an impressive performance in the 4-0 victory over Barbastro in the Copa del Rey, FC Barcelona are focusing on the Spanish Super Cup. On Wednesday (8), at 4:00 p.m. (Brasilia time), Hansi Flick’s team will take to the pitch of the King Abdullah Sports City against Athletic Bilbao in the first leg of the semi-finals, determining their opponent for the grand final, which will pit either Real Madrid or Mallorca.
Although the squad has been reduced due to injuries, Barça continues to play without key players as the season progresses. Andreas Christensen recently returned to training but will miss the Super Cup trip. Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal will travel with the team, maintaining hope of recovering in time to participate in the tournament in the Arab world. Marc Bernal and Ter Stegen are still without a definitive return date. Finally, Dani Olmo is facing administrative issues with LaLiga and will also be absent.
