A “Ring to the dead”, ten years after the attacks of January 2015. A tribute was paid on Wednesday January 8 to Clarissa Jean-Philippe, municipal police officer shot dead by the jihadist terrorist Amedy Coulibaly on the same date, in 2015. After having submitted flowers, the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, attended the ceremony in the company of the Prime Minister, François Bayrou, and the President of the National Assembly, Yaël Braun-Pivet. Short commemorations, during which the head of state did not speak, leaving the mayor of the city, Etienne Lengereau, to deliver a speech.
In memory of the policewoman, the city renamed its police station after the name of this municipal official who was 26 years old at the time of her death, reports “ICI” Paris Ile-de-France. This ceremony comes the day after the tribute paid to the victims of the attack against Charlie Hebdo and Hyper Cacher.
