Emmanuel Macron commemorated this Tuesday, January 7, the 10th anniversary of the attack against the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo and the Jewish supermarket Hypercacher. This Wednesday, January 8, the President of the Republic will chair a tribute ceremony to Clarissa Jean-Philippe, municipal police officer killed by the terrorist Amedy Coulibaly in Montrouge.
Ten years after the attacks on Charlie Hebdo and Montrouge (Hauts-de-Seine), a tribute will be paid in the town this Wednesday, January 8 to Clarissa Jean-Philippe, killed by the terrorist Amedy Coulibaly on January 8, 2015, while she was on patrol.
On this sad 10th anniversary, the municipality of Montrouge has decided to give the name of the policewoman to the municipal police headquarters. The nomination ceremony will take place this Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
A little before, the city will also commemorate, like every year, the disappearance of the policewoman, at 11 a.m. avenue Pierre-Brossolette, in the presence of Emmanuel Macron. The latter will preside over the ceremony.
“I believe that it is a great honor to receive the President of the Republic because he is the first person of the State and it is true that it is the State which is guarantor of our tranquility and public safety, so the fact that he is there marks an even greater weight on this tribute, on this 10th anniversary”, evokes Étienne Lengereau, mayor of the town, at the microphone of BFM Paris Ile-de-France.
Traffic disrupted part of the day
Parking and traffic in the city will be disrupted during the ceremony. Traffic will be authorized in the opposite direction, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on rue Marie Debos. Traffic will be interrupted at the same time on avenue Pierre Brossolette.
Parking will be prohibited from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on avenue Pierre Brossolette (part between rue Gabriel Péri and the corner avenue Pierre Brossolette/Avenue de la Marne and avenue de la Marne (part between rue Camille Pelletan and avenue Pierre Brossolette on both sides).
