Two people have been charged with first-degree murder for the death of a man from the Saulteaux First Nation on January 2, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Saskatchewan.

The GRC received a call Thursday morning regarding an injured man in the First Nation which is about 40 kilometers from North Battleford.

Officers found Lyle Night Jr., 24, seriously injured in a home. His death was pronounced on the spot.

Later that day, the GRC arrested a 20-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman. They are charged with first degree murder and are scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
