A dramatic skiing accident took place on Saturday on the slopes of the Parsenn area, in Klosters, not far from Davos. Two skiers collided violently. One of them died.
The shock occurred around 2 p.m. “Due to the force of the impact, one of the men then collided with a padded information panel,” the Graubünden cantonal police communicated this Sunday.
Emergency services found this unconscious skier and were unable to save him. He did not survive his “serious injuries” and died on the spot. He is a young German of 24 years old. The second skier was slightly injured.
The Graubünden public prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation in collaboration with the cantonal police.
The Graubünden police reported a second fatal accident on the slopes on Sunday. A 55-year-old man fell on Friday afternoon while skiing with his son in the Tschiertschen area. However, he managed to return to his vacation home, but died the next day. The police are looking for testimonies, in particular that of “a blonde skier who spoke to the victim of the accident after the fall and offered her help”.
