Sabalenka won her 18th WTA Tour title. Crowned at the Australian Open in 2023 and 2024, she will confidently approach the defense of her title in a week.
The Belarusian succeeds the Kazakh Elena Rybakina, who crushed her in the final of the Australian tournament last year 6-0, 6-3.
A first final for Polina Kudermetova
It was the first final on the circuit for the younger sister of Veronika Kudermetova, aged 21 and who had qualified in Brisbane.
This performance should allow her to enter the Top 60 of the WTA rankings for the first time in her career on Monday.
