new photos show more details about the new Joy-Cons

Are we in the final stretch before the launch of the Switch 2? In any case, leaks are multiplying, and photos of one of its two controllers, visibly leaving the factory, have even just appeared on Reddit.

It must be admitted, for a console that could be released within several weeks, the Nintendo Switch 2 no longer seems to have many secrets to hide from us. At least, we know more and more about it, from its design to its motherboard including some of its features, notably the integration of Mario Bros.-style DLSS.

A post from a certain SwordfishAgile3472 on the r/NintendoSwitch2 subreddit even confirms the visual that had already leaked from one of the console's two side controllers. Two photos, from the Chinese forum Baidu Tieba, show the side and back of a Switch 2 left Joy-Con.

We find the two triggers larger than on the controllers of the Switch, first of the name, but also what seems to be a new fixing mechanism, which could work using magnets. A fairly imposing button, positioned behind the device, at the level of the triggers, is also clearly visible. According to TechRadarit could be used to detach the controller from the console, but it is far too early to say.

A Joy-Con that looks like it came from Nintendo factories

If the photos shared by SwordfishAgile3472 are worthy of interest, it is not only because they confirm previous rumors, but also because the Joy-Con presented here appears legitimate. Its finish suggests that it comes directly from the assembly lines of Nintendo consoles, and a serial number as well as regulatory standards and logos are even present.

Of course, until Nintendo officially presents the Switch 2, all this should be taken with a grain of salt. However, the accumulation of rumors that go in the same direction tends to make us think that they are close to reality.

In any case, there is little time left before the whole truth is revealed. The next console from the Japanese giant should be announced, at maximum, around the end of March 2025. Deadline that the Kyoto firm had given itself before presenting us with a worthy successor to the Nintendo Switch.
