Late Saturday afternoon, a tram driver in Luxembourg reported a man who was insulting her and did not want to leave the train. On the tram in question, the officers encountered a heavily intoxicated person. She immediately lost her temper and was insulting. Due to his uncooperative, aggressive and dangerous behavior, the man posed a danger to others as well as himself and was placed in a sobering cell after a medical examination.

Earlier, around 12:30 p.m., the CGDIS reported a man in Ettelbruck who needed a medical examination, but who was uncooperative and did not want to be taken to hospital. When police arrived, they found a person heavily intoxicated, aggressive and already spitting at paramedics.

Attempts to calm the person down were unsuccessful. The officers accompanied the ambulance to the hospital. The man caused public trouble due to his behavior and drunkenness and was also placed in a sobering cell after being examined by a doctor.

Drinking and driving

On Saturday, around 11:30 a.m., there was a call reporting a car snaking through Kayl. Thanks to the precise description of the vehicle, it was found shortly afterwards in a public parking lot. The driver was still behind the wheel and smelled of alcohol. A screening test came back positive. His driving license was therefore revoked and a temporary driving ban was imposed. A report was also drawn up.

Sunday morning, around 2 a.m., a driver was reported in Howald sitting in his car and unresponsive. The police and the CCGDI went to the scene. It turned out that the driver was asleep in his vehicle. He was awakened and it was noted that he smelled strongly of alcohol. The subsequent test came back positive. The driver received a temporary driving ban and a report was issued.

Several burglaries

Saturday evening, around 6:30 p.m., unknown persons managed to gain access to a detached house in Belair. They entered the house through a first floor window and searched the entire floor.

Around 9 p.m., a person then called to report a burglary in Bonnevoie. When officers arrived, the alleged perpetrator was still in the house. When the police entered and noticed them, the perpetrator immediately surrendered. He was taken to the police station. On the orders of the Prosecutor’s Office, the author was arrested and taken to Sanem prison. His burglary equipment was sequestered.

Around 11 p.m., a burglary was also reported in Cessange. Here, unknown persons forced open a window at the back of the house to gain access.
