Marine managed to reach the semi-finals of the 2024 edition of the Star Academy, Saturday January 4, 2025. The young artist will face Charles, while Ebony will face Franck. The noose is tightening for the students of the Star Academy who are making great strides towards the final. After almost three months of adventure, they learned to sharpen their voices, but also developed serious skills in dance and stage expression. And the Sunday debriefs alongside Marlène Schaff, professor of stage expression, have something to do with it. The former student tutor reviews the previous day’s prime performances every Sunday in order to help the students progress.
The day after the bonus of December 28, 2024, the professor was not convinced about Marine’s performance alongside Lorie. “I know very well what this thing of ‘I don’t know what to do with my body’ is and if you start to think about it, that’s all you feel. […] Get into music. If on the other hand things don’t move much for whatever reason, you are in music and you are a Marine”, explained Marlène Schaff. Comments which allow the students to question themselves: “It’s true that on the Lorie medley, it was perhaps a little soft. I could have danced more, moved more. […] I hear what Marlene says. To progress, to improve for the future… I’m going to try to push the sliders a little more,” admitted Marine.
