Chimy Ávila is one of the notable names in Huesca’s recent history, although he only spent two years there: from 2017 to 2019, before being recruited by Osasuna. During these two seasons, he scored an impressive total of 17 goals, including seven in his first season and ten in his second, guaranteeing him a special place in the hearts of supporters, even more so now that he is the Betis striker.

To honor their former player ahead of Saturday’s clash, Huesca want to pay tribute to Ávila, who is the star of a promotional poster created for the upcoming Copa del Rey match. This poster will be given to the player on Saturday afternoon, accompanied by applause from the supporters who once cheered him on.

“We have added an ‘extra’ to our collection of posters dedicated to Huesca’s great players, especially for this Copa del Rey match,” the club said on its social networks. The image features the Argentine striker celebrating one of his memorable goals, well remembered at El Alcoraz and other stadiums where he wore the colors of Huesca.

“Commander Chimy Ávila is in the spotlight in the image, as a tribute to his return,” continued the official X account of Betis’ cup rival, adding that a tribute will be paid before the match, with the poster given to the player, now at Betis. The verdiblanco club also had a small gesture for their player, sharing an image of Chimy ready to leave for Huesca last Friday afternoon, waving, aware of the importance of returning to where he experienced so much happiness.
