Followed each year by nearly 50,000 spectators, the Grande Odyssée VVF will celebrate its 20th anniversary from January 11 to 23, 2025. Annabel Kam, the president of the event imagined by Henri Kam and Nicolas Vanier in 2005, presents it to us.
This 21st edition is special because it marks the 20th anniversary of the event launched by your father in 2005. How will it be special?
“When we talk about Grande Odyssée VVF, we rarely emphasize the sporting side, because spectators are first interested in the “adventure” aspect, but this year, we have a field of mushers of exception, with many women. Poland makes its return, with Daria Findzinska in its ranks, this is her first participation. The Norwegian Sissel Wolf Molmen, 2nd in 2023, will also be at the start. On the French side, there are two high-level entrants, Elsa Borgey and Cindy Duport, respectively 3rd and 4th in 2024, and who hope to play spoilsport. We will also follow the Spaniard Iker Ozkoidi, vice-champion in 2019, 2020 and 2024, whose sole objective is to win the title. This 21st edition promises many twists and turns. »
