Météo places the department of Finistère in yellow vigilance, for waves-submersion, Sunday January 5, 2025, from 6 a.m.

As a reminder, Finistère is already placed on yellow alert, this Saturday January 4, 2025 for:

– rain flooding from 3 p.m. today,

– strong wind from 9 p.m. today.

In order to guarantee the safety of road users, traffic speed on the Iroise bridge in could be subject to speed limits announced by variable message signs.

In this context, the prefect of Finistère, Alain Espinasse, invites the population to be vigilant and recalls some precautionary advice:

  • be careful if you practice activities sensitive to weather risks or near a shore or a watercourse;
  • do not practice nautical activities;
  • do not walk by the sea;
  • secure your property that may be damaged;
  • adapt your driving to the weather conditions.

The weather situation is evolving, the prefect of Finistère recommends keeping informed, in particular by consulting the forecasts online on the Météo France website: www.vigilance.meteofrance.com.
