“Honestly, I think this is the first time I’ve won against Elena on a faster surface. It means a lot. I didn’t start well.
I felt like I was playing with the handbrake. I knew I had to do something because the match was going to be difficult to win.
I wanted to change the dynamic, and I’m happy I achieved that in the first set. Then I told myself I wasn’t going to fail again.
