Rebound after the explosion of a house in Tergnier (Aisne) on the night of December 28 to 29, 2024. The first investigations allowed “to establish that at the time of the explosion, two individuals were present in the home“, explains the public prosecutor, Guillaume Donnadieu, in a press release.
The first of these, “seriously injured“, no longer has his vital diagnosis engaged. He was given one month of total incapacity for work. The second, who fled, was identified and placed in police custody. Three days of total incapacity to work. work were issued to him.
The two individuals said they entered the home to set it on fire. When lighting the lighter to start the fire, an explosion occurred. “They indicated that they had acted at the request of the couple who owned the premises.“, adds the prosecutor.
The accused, who was not hospitalized, was presented to an investigating judge. He was “indicted for destruction of another person’s property by dangerous means leading to total incapacity for work for more than eight days” and placed in pre-trial detention.

The owner couple was also taken into police custody. He recognized “be at the initiative of the project of deterioration by fire of their home“.
The two owners were presented this Friday, January 3 before the investigating judge. They were indicted as heads of “complicity in destruction by dangerous means resulting in total incapacity for work of more than eight days”, “complicity in destruction of the property of others by dangerous means resulting in total incapacity for work of less than eight days”.
They are also being prosecuted for “attempted fraud against the home insurer”. LThe couple was placed in pre-trial detention.
