Victor Wembanyama vs Nikola Jokic, duel of giants!

– A clash between two titans! Last night, Victor Wembanyama et Nikola Jokic engaged in a superb duel. A clash which ultimately turned to the advantage of the San Antonio Spurs, winners on the floor of the Denver Nuggets (113-110).

The Frenchman obviously showed the way with an XXL copy: 35 points (14/21 shooting), 18 rebounds, 4 assists (despite 8 lost balls) and 2 blocks. Opposite, Jokic, even less skillful (15/36 on shots), carried his team for a long time with 41 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists.

The difference? The Spurs collective supported the Habs. Chris Paul (7 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds) was not that far from the triple-double, and Devin Vassell (18 points), Keldon Johnson (16 points) then Julian Champagnie (15 points) had positive impacts.

With the exception of Michael Porter Jr (22 points), Jokic’s teammates struggled to measure up. In the final seconds, we must highlight a decisive interception by Wembanyama, on a pass from Jokic, to seal the success of Spurs.

-Who can stop the Oklahoma City Thunder? In a real shock, OKC overthrew the New York Knicks (117-107). As always, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander behaved like a boss with 33 points. To sign a 14th consecutive victory at the end of a huge comeback!

Because in this part, the Knicks had control. Thanks in particular to Mikal Bridges (24 points), Karl-Anthony Towns (17 points, 22 rebounds) and Jalen Brunson (22 points). NY had an 8-point lead going into the last quarter.

Before the surge of Thunder! In the money-time, OKC completely turned the match around (37-19). With notably 15 of the 19 pointsAaron Wiggins over this period. Jalen Williams (20 points) et Isaiah Hartenstein (4 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists) also contributed to this success. End of series for the Knicks after 9 consecutive victories.

LeBron steals a record from Jordan, the Cavs continue

– Launched into an inconsistent season, the Los Angeles Lakers are currently in a good phase. At home, the Californians got the better of the Atlanta Hawks (119-102). Despite the efforts of Trae Young (33 points), the Angelenos had control of the debates.

With in particular an excellent LeBron Jamesauthor of 30 points and 8 assists. With this copy, the King also becomes the player with the most matches with at least 30 points in the history of the NBA, ahead of Michael Jordan, with 563 matches. A living legend.

With Austin Reaves (20 points) et Anthony Davis (18 points, 19 rebounds) to support him, James secured the Lakers’ 7th victory in the last 9 matches. And without making too much noise, Los Angeles occupies 4th place in the West.

– Like the Oklahoma City Thunder in the West, the Cleveland Cavaliers don’t stop in the East! On the road, the Cavs won against the Dallas Mavericks (134-122). Decreased with absences of Luka Doncic et Kyrie Irvingthe Texans mainly chased the score.

And despite the efforts of Quentin Grimes (26 points), Dallas had difficulty competing. Particularly because of the clumsiness of Klay Thompson (16 points at 4/13). Opposite, the Cavs recited their collective basketball.

This time, Evan Mobley shone with 34 points and 10 rebounds. Against Western teams, the Cavs, on a 9-game winning streak, have a 10-0 record this season. Before the clash against OKC on Thursday…
