Victor Wembanyama vs Nikola Jokic, duel of giants!
– A clash between two titans! Last night, Victor Wembanyama et Nikola Jokic engaged in a superb duel. A clash which ultimately turned to the advantage of the San Antonio Spurs, winners on the floor of the Denver Nuggets (113-110).
The Frenchman obviously showed the way with an XXL copy: 35 points (14/21 shooting), 18 rebounds, 4 assists (despite 8 lost balls) and 2 blocks. Opposite, Jokic, even less skillful (15/36 on shots), carried his team for a long time with 41 points, 18 rebounds and 9 assists.
The difference? The Spurs collective supported the Habs. Chris Paul (7 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds) was not that far from the triple-double, and Devin Vassell (18 points), Keldon Johnson (16 points) then Julian Champagnie (15 points) had positive impacts.
With the exception of Michael Porter Jr (22 points), Jokic’s teammates struggled to measure up. In the final seconds, we must highlight a decisive interception by Wembanyama, on a pass from Jokic, to seal the success of Spurs.
-Who can stop the Oklahoma City Thunder? In a real shock, OKC overthrew the New York Knicks (117-107). As always, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander behaved like a boss with 33 points. To sign a 14th consecutive victory at the end of a huge comeback!
