While the roads of Orne were sometimes difficult to drive this Friday, January 3, 2025, the situation should be similar this Sunday January 4. Except in terms of schedules.
More snow, freezing rain…
In fact, Météo France has just placed the Orne department on yellow alert at snow and ice for Saturday January 4, 2025, but from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Freezing rain is expected in the east of the department such as L'Aigle, Mortagne-au-Perche, VimoutiersArgentan, Sees or Tinchebray, while snowfall is expected in Domfront or Alençon.
Note that the department of Calvados experiences the same vigilance at the same hours.
On the other hand, those of theYour and of Seine-Maritime will be placed on yellow alert from 6 p.m., but until midnight. That of theEure-et-Loir will be affected from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
It will therefore be appropriate tobe careful if you drive on the region's roads in these slots. Knowing that they can obviously evolve between now and then.
Beware of rising waters
Remember that the department of Orne is always placed on high alert. If Risles is no longer in yellow vigilance, it is the Orne which passed through it over its entire course in the department, from its source to its entry into the Calvados.
Here again, you should be particularly careful if you walk along this river.
