Star Stephen Curry shot a flawless 8/8 three-pointer Thursday night in the NBA. A new personal record allowing the Warriors to crush the 76ers.
Stainless. Quadruple NBA champion Stephen Curry made 8 out of 8 three-point shots: this is the first time he has achieved 100% with so many long-range shots attempted. He scored 30 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to victory over Philadelphia 139-105.
Despite a sprained right thumb, the 36-year-old leader and record holder for three-point shots in NBA history did not come far from the record for flawless three-pointers, held by Jalen Brunson, Ben Gordon and Latrell Sprewell, who made 9 of 9 shots.
“Sometimes a small injury can allow you to focus on what you need to do”Curry explained, “it’s cool to do something for the first time!”.
Facing him, Joel Embiid for the 76ers, failed to respond despite 28 points and 14 rebounds.
The Thunder alone in the West
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 29 points and delivered eight assists to help the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Los Angeles Clippers 116-98, improving the record of the Western Conference leaders (28-5).
The Thunder has, by far, the best record in the West and is only trailed in the East by Cleveland (29-4). This winning streak is the longest for the Thunder since the team left Seattle in 2008.
