If LOSC timidly opened the 2025 chapter by being held in check by Nantes (1-1), the Lille supporters were rather there this Saturday evening. And this despite a poster less attractive than others and, above all, difficult weather conditions. Discover the attendance for this match counting for the 16th day of Ligue 1.
The bar of 40,000 spectators crossed
On this first weekend of January, we had to be careful to brave the northern cold and its first falling snowflakes, to the point that LOSC decided to close the roof of the Pierre-Mauroy stadium. A Lille den which, if it has not been full, will have been well filled for a poster of this scale against Nantes, with no less than 41,635 spectators present in the spans.
This is the first time this season that the symbolic bar of 40,000 spectators has been crossed against a non-European contender in Pierre-Mauroy. Above average occupancy also made possible by the holidays and a schedule, at 7 p.m. on a Saturday, almost ideal for travel. Note that the Nantes pitch, which put on a show at kick-off, was crowded with 477 courageous players.
