Remember… In 1975, the first French television channel broadcast, at 8:30 p.m., a television series in 8 episodes, adapted from the novel by Ariège author and journalist Christian Bernadac: Le Passe-Montagne. The action takes place in Haute Ariège during the Second World War and features the German occupation army and local resistance networks. This television series was entirely filmed in Tarascon-sur-Ariège and its surroundings: Bédeilhac cave, Miglos, Ussat, Niaux but also Foix or the Andorran border.
The places had been decorated and recreated, as in 1943, for the occasion: Kommandantur, Nazi flags on the station pediment, period vehicles in the streets, arousing the surprise and curiosity of the Ariégeois of 1975. Many had been there. residents of the region to attend the filming, take photos, act as extras in the film or participate as stagehands, drivers, etc.
If you are one of these, contact the Compagnie Fées et Gestes and come and testify during the full screening of Passe-Montagne that it is organizing on Sunday January 12 at 4 p.m. (first 4 episodes) at 18, rue du Barry, in Tarascon-sur-Ariège and January 19, same time and same place (continuation and end).
Come and share with the public your memories, anecdotes… and take part in the big celebration around the 50th anniversary of this series which marked our region.
