Dakar, Jan 2 (APS) – Senegalese referees Adalbert Diouf and Issa Sy are among the whistles selected for the final phase of the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2025), scheduled from February 1 to 28 in Kenya, Uganda and in Tanzania.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled, this Thursday, the list of referees to officiate during the final phase of CHAN-2025, a competition which brings together players playing in Africa.
The 2025 edition will see the participation of 26 central referees, 25 assistant referees and 14 video referees (VAR).
Referee Adalbert Diouf, international since 2019, will serve as central referee. Diouf, accustomed to continental competitions, for example last week led the Mali-Mauritania meeting, counting for the last phase of the CHAN 2025 qualifiers.
Issa Sy, for his part, has been an international referee since 2015. He is credited with a wealth of experience in refereeing on the continent.
