The gendarmes of the Cannes company, the municipal police officers of Cannes and Mandelieu, the national police officers of Cannes… This Thursday evening, there were around fifty officers from four different units participating in the road check organized along the avenue du bord de mer, from Cannes to Mandelieu.
An operation which highlights the good coordination and cooperation that exists on a daily basis between these four units. All leading to “global security. And that’s how 2025 will happen”immediately announced Christophe Haget, the central commissioner of Cannes-Le Cannet.
An operation “extremely rare”but above all a “a great example of coordination between services,” said the vice-prosecutor, Manon Duthoit, “so that there is, on the one hand, necessarily, better efficiency through joint action rather than each in their own corner, and on the other hand, effectiveness in the fight against drugs and alcohol consumption while driving, compared to the many people who are not allowed to drive and who drive despite everything… A good example from the start of the year of maintaining this objective, both prevention and control.”
140 km/h on the seaside
