Kaktus, Luminescences … record figures for 2025

Record sales of Kaktus and increased attendance at the Luminescences festival: shines at the start of 2025!

In Amnéville, the Zoo is starting the new year with a smile. For the third consecutive edition of the Luminescences festival, attendance at the light trail, this time in the colors of Asia, exceeded the figures for other years. Already 100,000 visitors on the clock for “Magic Indies” as of January 1, 2025. That is more than a month ahead in terms of attendance at the same period last year. As soon as the lanterns were lit in November 2024, the All Saints' Day holidays recorded good arrivals, i.e. 7,400 visitors in a short time.

Luminescences lanterns are always attracting more and more!

100,000 trail lovers in three months of opening! Data which reinforces the reputation of the festival, registered on the Moselle Christmas Lantern Route. Remember that this is the largest festival of its kind in the with 10,000 light installations to observe. This year, 55% of visitors came for the very first time and 15% had already attempted the adventure during previous editions.

You haven't yet taken the time to visit Luminescences ? You still have three months, until March 29, 2025, to fix it! Enough to further increase the number of visitors and, who knows, to surpass the record for edition number 2 which saw nearly 150,000 people pass through.

In Meisenthal, 43,000 Kaktus sold

While the Stella Christmas bauble (2023) had already broken all sales records, the International Center for Glass in Meisenthal is reporting a new figure for this season. With 43,000 balls, designed by Mark Braun, manufactured and sold this year, Kaktus has piqued consumers’ curiosity. There are also no less than 91,000 Christmas baubles, all models combined, which were blown and sold throughout the year 2024. Record data once again, marking the attraction of Mosellans and the foreign public for this decorative and collectible object.

At the same time, the Meisenthal Glass Hall hosted a light show for the first time: the Halle aux Lumières. An immersive and digital story-telling journey that will have immersed 6,500 spectators in glassmaking know-how and the territory, all for a month.
