Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines – Head to Switzerland for travel film conferences

Like every month, the Altaïr conferences, screenings of travel documentaries followed by exchanges between the public and its director(s), are showing in 2 SQY cinemas: the Brel room in Montigny-le-Bretonneux , and the Noiret space in Clayes-sous-. The next of these film conferences will take spectators to the heart of the Alps, with the documentary Switzerland II, a happiness in the gap, by Pierre Dubois. “The constraints of the soil have shaped the Swiss by singling them out among European states. Poor at the start, lost in their mountains, having no raw materials, no outlet to the sea, they made a hostile environment into this land that has become prosperous and coveted. A Switzerland strong solely on the resources of its people, who have remained more than others attached to its roots, to its myths, to its Alpine traditions, indicates the description of the documentary. Pierre Dubois will tell you with passion about his country, a puzzle of which each piece has little by little built a modern, innovative and strong Switzerland. A country proud of its past, which jealously preserves its peasant values. » Meet on January 9 in Montigny (sessions at 3 and 8 p.m., information on 01 30 44 10 11), and on January 10 at 2 p.m. in Les Clayes (details on 01 30 79 38 96).
