Monday January 6, 2025, the first municipal council of the new commune Sauzé-entre-Bois was held, in the socio-cultural room of Plibou.
Marie-Claire Guérin, mayor of Pers and oldest mayor, opened the session with a short word of welcome for the municipal councilors of the five municipalities, in order to proceed to various elections and, first of all, that of the mayor of the new commune.
The vote took place with the 49 voters present: with 44 cast, 4 blank and 1 null, Nicolas Ragot, the current mayor of Sauzé-Vaussais, was elected first mayor of the new commune, which now has 2,302 inhabitants. .
Fourteen deputies from the five municipalities
A list of fourteen deputies, with gender parity, chosen from the five municipalities, each with a very specific assignment of tasks, was then unanimously elected.
Nicolas Ragot greeted and thanked the public present for their interest in this new town. After reading the charter of elected officials, the compensation of elected officials was unanimously validated and adopted as follows: €2,321 gross for the mayor of the new municipality, €1,048 for delegated mayors and €513 for that of Pers.
Non-cumulative compensation
Nicolas Ragot also recalled that the two functions of mayor were not cumulative in terms of compensation.
Various questions were then debated. This municipal council, made up of 56 members, will be held for the next fifteen months (before the next elections in May 2026), in the socio-cultural room of Plibou, which can accommodate all members.
At the end of the session, Marie-Claire Guérin, mayor of Pers; Christian Baudon, mayor of Caunay; François Grasswill, mayor of Montalembert; Gérard Barré, mayor of Pibou and Nicolas Ragot, mayor of Sauzé-Vaussais and the new town of Sauzé-entre-Bois, did not hide their satisfaction after these many months of work.
