“Why did you agree to be a consultant for the Dakar?
When I retired from sports in 2021, I had offers, but I didn’t want to dive back in. I had just become a father again. Two or three years later, I returned to motorsport. It’s my passion. But this break allowed me to come back with another vision. I am (since December 2023) the manager of young Bolivian brothers, Bruno and Marco Bulacia, in the World Rally Championship. I also do co-piloting courses and as I like to speak, I also created “Danos Event” to give conferences. The slightly sanguine Daniel Elena – and he had to be to defend his cause (laughs) – learned to put things into perspective. Today, I take contracts as they come.
