A symbolic date. The funeral of little Emile Soleil, whose trace was lost in July 2023 in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, will take place 19 months to the day after his disappearance, i.e. on February 8. They will take place in the Sainte-Marie-Madeleine basilica in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, in the Var, the town hall of the town told France Bleu Provence, confirming information from BFM DICI.
The Basilica of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine is known to be “the third tomb of Christianity”. It houses the relics of Mary Magdalene, disciple of Jesus. His presumed skull is displayed in a reliquary within the basilica.

As a reminder, Emile disappeared on Saturday July 8, 2023. Aged two and a half, he escaped the surveillance of his grandparents in Le Vernet, where he was on vacation. Her family lives in La Bouilladisse, in Bouches-du-Rhône.
