FC Barcelona Faces a Serious Setback Concerning Dani Olmo: LaLiga Publishes a Press Release

Thus, neither Dani Olmo nor Víctor could be registered.

Before this LaLiga press release, published after 9:00 p.m., FC Barcelona had informed that it had requested a new license from the Royal Spanish Federation (RFEF) for players Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor, who had to be registered in LaLiga before January 1.

Furthermore, the Azulgrana entity denied having “requested or received any moratorium from another organization for the registration it requests.”

The club aims to register Olmo and Víctor by renting part of the new VIP boxes at Spotify Camp Nou, from which it hopes to make around 100 million euros.

LaLiga was waiting for the azulgrana entity to complete all the documentation it had requested regarding the new contracts and payment guarantees.

The operation, concluded by the club’s president, Joan Laporta, in Dubai last week, and activated after having exhausted, without success, the legal route to register the two players, should also allow Barcelona to return to rule 1: 1 of financial ‘fair play’.
