On December 23, the Canadian actor Angus MacInnes died at the age of 77. Seen in several films in supporting roles, Angus MacInnes played the Gold Leader in the saga Star Wars. The circumstances of his disappearance have not been communicated.

Born October 27, 1947 in Ontario, Canada, Angus MacInnes began his career in 1975 by starring in the film Roller. Two years later, he joined the cast of the film Star Wars: A New Hope where he plays the role of John Lander, (Leader Gold), one of the pilots of the rebel fleet who leaves to lead the battle against the Death Star. He will reprise this role vocally in 2016 in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Although he played a small role within the franchise, Angus MacInnes was very grateful to have been part of the adventure Star Wars according to his family. He loved going to different conventions to meet fans.
