Yesterday and today
This country witnessed my first tears. He witnessed all the stages of my first age and today, December 31, 2024, he continues to witness the different stages of my second age. I pray to Allah to grant me longevity, so that this country can also witness my old age. I know this country a little, I took the time to observe it and practice it. I am also a witness to certain stages of socio-political life of this beautiful country. Facts are stubborn and history is unfalsifiable.
Before 2021, there were things I could only imagine possible in my wildest imagination.
Before the CNRD, I imagined that being a member of the government was a domain and a privilege only, jealously and preciously reserved for a group of friends or pals.
Before the CNRD, I never believed that you could be a member of the government or an influential member of power and be worried by the justice system for your management.
Before the CNRD, I never believed that financial embezzlement was a crime. I considered the diversion a blessing.
Before the CNRD, no one could believe that Guinean justice could be feared as it is today to the point that some Guineans prefer exile to facing the justice of their country.
Before the CNRD, I never believed that competence was a quality and had its place in the Guinean administration.
Before the CNRD, I always believed that influence peddling and arrogance were normal abnormalities.
Before the CNRD, I always believed that being a member of the government or influential member of the regime was an authorization to do what you want and how you want.
Before the CNRD, I always doubted that the Chief had full control over his hand. It was only under the CNRD that I understood that in the face of economic and financial crime, the hand of a Leader cannot shake.
Before the CNRD, I took Guinea for a center of corrupt people where the corruption license was issued by the first authority. Because, in the face of corruption, any leader who does not crack down is a leader who endorses and issues the license to corruption. Very unfortunately this was the worst reality in Guinea.
Before the CNRD, I no longer differentiated between ACTION et PROMISE. I took the promise and the conditional for granted so much what the Guinean lived in all-out promises. We had reached a place where everything came down to promises and nothing but promises.
Before the CNRD, we had reached a level where the promise was the thing best shared with Guineans.
Before the CNRD, I believed that there were 3 types of framework in Guinea:
– Simple frames
– Cadres VIP
– Cadres super VIP.
It took the CNRD for us to realize that we can act without keeping promises and turn silence into a weapon.
It took the CNRD for the Guinean to realize that in the face of economic crime, no man is superior to another.
It took the CNRD for the Guinean to realize that in the face of economic crime, no executive is a VIP or super VIP.
It took the CNRD for the Guinean to realize that justice does not have a selective hand or a selective whip.
Whether you are an executive of a past regime or under the CNRD, when you commit an economic crime, you will respond, it is an inevitable certainty. Who would have believed it?
Faced with injustice and economic crimes, all the hands that preceded the CNRD have trembled. It took the hand of the CNRD for the Guinean to realize that there are not two justices or one justice with variable geometry in Guinea. Whether you are from a past regime or that of the CNRD, when you commit financial delinquency, the wrath of the justice system will touch you. Who would have believed it?
My father, shortly before his death in 2012, told me this: “My son Guillaume, I refuse to analyze the Guinean situation. » Given the impunity and intelligence of some Guineans in falsehood, my father had difficulty living under the same skies as these Guineans. My father would be happy to see the sun of 2021 and experience what we are experiencing today.
It is when we are in TRANSITION that we are most fully in action. This is when we are in REFOUNDATION that we are most fully in change.
Happy New Year 2025 to everyone!
