After trying to register its two new recruits for the second part of the season with its last cards, FC Barcelona, having failed, lost two players from its squad.
Today marks the start of the year, it is the day when club squads are updated for the second half of the season. As a reminder, FC Barcelona registered two new recruits, Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, last summer. Due to Financial Fair Play restrictions, the Catalan club used the space left by Christensen’s long-term injury to register these players, until December 31, 2024. As this deadline approaches, Barça opted for a legal procedure to obtain registration by precautionary measure, which was initially rejected by the Barcelona Commercial Court, at first instance and then through appeal. The club then submitted documentation related to the sale of Camp Nou VIP seats to obtain the necessary approval for the registration of its new signings. Unfortunately, La Liga has not validated these documents.
Olmo and Pau Victor deleted
The files of Pau Víctor and Dani Olmo, with the respective numbers 17 and 20, have disappeared from the FC Barcelona squad section on the official website. On the other hand, Andreas Christensen made his return. Nevertheless, there would still be hope, as Barça informants indicate that a clarification will be given on January 3, suggesting that Olmo and Pau Víctor could continue their adventure with Barcelona this season, according to Mundo Deportivo.
