Eighteen distinct categories to relive the year of culture 2024 differently. This is the bet taken by the duo Nagui and Leïla Kaddour-Boudadi, who have their habits since they officiate on France Inter with their show “La Bande Originale”, with “Les Bravos d’or”, a sort of “7 d Modern ‘Gold’.
The idea is simple, to reward the different cultural actors of the year 2024 (cinema, musicals, concerts, record sales, podcasts, etc.) but based on objective elements. “We wanted to base ourselves on figures such as the number of cinema admissions, the number of albums sold, the number of hours listened to, these are not votes, summarizes Nagui. As a result, even if some are known in advance since we know that Artus’ film, ”A Little Something in Plus”, was the most seen French film in theaters, there are categories with surprises.”
Recorded at the Marigny theater in Paris, in live conditions but in sequence, this great evening will allow the main winners to perform on stage. “Artus is going to give us a little surprise because it’s his first prize with this film, he’s very moved”continues Nagui.
Only one category open to public voting
“There is no envelope, no nominees, no ceremony, we don’t bring in any presenters, explains Leïla Kaddour-Boudadi. The winners will not make speeches, we will engage in a discussion with them, it is more lively, less austere, it avoids long prepared speeches and it is more in the tone of our show on France Inter with Nagui. We have a way of working that is not common, we do not write our texts, we are almost without a safety net.”
The trophy, designed by Charlotte Le Bon, represents a woman’s hand and a man’s hand clapping together, a trophy which comes from the furnaces of the Fonderie d’Art Macheret. “The idea of such an evening is not difficult to have, confesses Nagui. I’m a little nostalgic for the 7 d’Or and I found it interesting to have a general, transversal evening, which rewards all popular artists. We wanted something chic, simple, reassuring, clear. I was surprised by some winners, that’s good.”.
“It’s a photograph of France in 2024, engages his sidekick. There are several Frances that coexist, we see what people read, what they listen to, what they watch, what they go to see at the theater but we didn’t want to fill the evening with figures either. . It’s more of a party, a smiling meeting.”
The duo wanted to allow viewers to relive this year 2024 differently with categories as wide as possible with, as a bonus, a single category open to public voting, “Special Bravo of the year 2024”, and which will reward a personality who can , also, to come from the world of sport. Throughout the evening, Leïla and Nagui will reveal the ranking of the 10 personalities. “We are broadcast on January 1st, it is an evening which arrives after a long week of celebration, of family meals, people will want to relax and open their minds and immerse themselves in a beautiful cultural year, concludes Nagui. If the show finds its audience, we will come back with this concept for 2025.”. QED.
