X-ray of the goals
Most passes exchanged
It's one of the best goals of the season in Ligue 1. Not for its finish, but rather for its design. Before the goal scored by Sebastian Nanasi against Le Havre, December 15, 2024, Racing players exchanged 20 passesa record for the club before a goal since the return to the elite in 2017. In this action which lasted 58 seconds, 10 of the 11 Alsatian players touched the ball. The club's previous record dated September 22, 2021, when Thierry Laurey's players exchanged 16 passes before a headed goal from Ludovic Ajorque.
The “easiest”
He only had the ball to push into the back of the net! In Lille, on September 21, 2024, Andrey Santos received a ball just 2 meters from Lucas Chevalier's goal, following a strike repelled by the Lille goalkeeper. According to the Expected Goals (xG) model, 97% of players in this situation scored. With a shot measured at 0.97 xG, this goal from the Brazilian midfielder was therefore “the easiest” to score by a Racing player in Ligue 1 in 2024.
The farthest
This is a first in over 30 years! Racing has not scored a goal from outside the penalty area in the league in 2024. The team's furthest goal was thus scored by Moïse Sahi Dion against Reims, on April 13, 2024. He was – in the area, well shifted to the right – 19 meters from the goal kept by Yehvann Diouf.
The fastest
For a long time, Kevin Gameiro held the record for Racing's fastest goal in the league in 2024. On March 16 in Nantes, he scored his 100th goal in Ligue 1 after only 2 minutes and 16 seconds of play (2'16). But a few months later he was overtaken by Sebastian Nanasi. Barely arriving at the club, the Swede celebrated his first start by scoring the net after just 2 minutes exactly (2'00), on August 30, 2024 in Lyon.
