New Year’s Eve the sky will be mostly clear or at most slightly cloudy over the Center-North. To the south, cloud cover will be greater over Sicily and Calabria, but without rain. The winds will be light and the seas calm or slightly rough. - Al nord: possible thick fog over the Po valley, with overcast skies along the coasts, particularly in Liguria. Maximum temperatures will range between 4°C in Venice and 10-11°C in Aosta, Genoa and Trento.
- Al Centre et Sardinia: stable and sunny weather, with higher cloudiness along the coastal areas. Maximum temperatures between 8°C in Perugia and 15-16°C in Rome and Cagliari.
- Al Sud: clear skies and sunshine, with a few more clouds on certain coasts. Maximum temperatures will be between 12°C and 16°C in many cities.

From January 2the atmospheric pressure will remain stable, but the arrival of a perturbation will mark a first deterioration in the weather. The rains will affect Sardinia, Sicily and upper Tuscany, while in the north fog will persist in the plains and skies will be overcast along the coasts and in the Alps. From January 3the pressure will start to drop, with clouds and rain over Liguria, upper Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna, while the South will remain sunnier.
