Chelsea have not included themselves among the many clubs considering a move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani, despite rumors circulating about it.
The French international player has been told he could leave PSG next month after losing his place under Luis Enrique. Kolo Muani has only started twice in Ligue 1 this season, and the French champions are prepared to take a loss on a player acquired for 80 million euros 18 months ago.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Chelsea are not planning to enter into such a deal, despite reports. Enzo Maresca wants to increase competition and cover for Nicolas Jackson in attack, with Chelsea having failed to sign a striker during the summer transfer window. The Blues engaged in discussions with Victor Osimhen and Samu Aghehowa, but were unable to find common ground with either player.
Chelsea would not be the only club to consider a transfer should their position change, with Manchester United, Tottenham, Juventus, AC Milan, RB Leipzig and Galatasaray also credited with an interest in the player.
Kolo Muani signed for PSG after scoring 23 goals for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2022/23 season. He also scored eight goals in 27 caps with the France team.
The addition of another striker could allow Christopher Nkunku to leave Chelsea. The latter, aged 27, is said to have expressed frustrations about his role at Stamford Bridge. FC Barcelona and his former club RB Leipzig have both been linked with the French international, who has only started twice in the Premier League this season. However, he has excelled in cup competition, scoring 12 goals in just 11 starts during the 2024/25 season.
