DECRYPTION – While the capital has broken its historic rain record in 2024, many are worried about seeing water runoff becoming the norm in metro and RER corridors. However, operators are well prepared for these phenomena.
Is the Paris metro at risk of taking on water? As the capital experiences more frequent and intense weather episodes, it is not surprising to find a subway corridor blocked, nor rare to have to take a detour to avoid puddles.
