New Year's Eve is fast approaching. Ideas for evenings are not rare in Nîmes and its surroundings. Bars, restaurants, nightclubs, the list is far from exhaustive. Discover our good deals.
Every end of the year, the same question comes up repeatedly in discussions: “where can we celebrate the new year? ” A few hours before the long-awaited day, some still haven't found the perfect evening to get dressed up. Here is a selection of proposals for those who are late or undecided.
The Victor Hugo, not to be missed
How can we not talk about Victor Hugo? This legendary bar in the city is a must to celebrate New Year's Eve. Like every year, it opens its doors this Tuesday, December 31, from 7:30 p.m. Several options will be available. From 7:30 p.m., a buffet dinner and unlimited drinks (€50) will be offered, upon reservation. This option also offers entry to the Comedy club. At 10 p.m., the bar will offer another buffet, sweet this time, and unlimited drinks. While the front of the bar will remain accessible to all and without reservation from 7 p.m., the doors will open to the public (free of charge and without reservation) from 11 p.m. for late closing.
La Réserve for a lively evening
A flagship place in the city of Nîmes for drinking, eating and partying, La Réserve promises an evening full of delicacies in a warm atmosphere. The festivities begin at 7 p.m. with a menu specially concocted for the occasion (€67). The music bar will then offer a show from 9 p.m. with a DJ and drag queen. Before giving way to a dancing party until 1 a.m.
The Lulu club, the rainbow emblem of Nîmes nights
Born in 1990, this gay club has become a local institution in the party world. For the New Year, the curtains will rise from 1 a.m. to extend the dancing until 7 a.m., accompanied by DJ Jessy Flanagan. Entrance is €24 with two drinks.
Bistrot Jean-Jaurès, a bodega atmosphere
A musical and festive evening will be held at Jean-Jaurès to celebrate the transition to 2025. The bistro will open its doors at 7 p.m. with tapas and a special menu (€50). DJ Ori will also be there to lead the dance until the end of the night in a bodega atmosphere. Reservations are essential.
La Fabrik, the unusual
Partying at your workplace? This is a bit like what the La Fabrik coworking space offers. Located in the heart of Nîmes, this establishment organizes a festive meal and an evening. Two options are offered: a gourmet buffet with unlimited drinks (€65), followed by a long dance session until 3 a.m., or the possibility of attending only the festive part (€35), from 11 p.m., with unlimited drinks. General and electro sounds will be played by several DJs.
Bowling one Caissargues, partying while having fun
Combining party and gaming is what Bowling One in Caissargues offers. Two options are offered. The first with a meal (€90), by reservation and with a welcome from 8 p.m. On the menu: foie gras, scallops, trou Normand, veal steak, cheeses and logs.
The other option, without the meal, does not require a reservation. Entrance for adults is €30 with four tickets. A ticket entitles you to a drink or a game of bowling. Entrance for children costs €15 with two tickets (under 12 years old). Musical entertainment by DJs Joël Serrano and Gaël Rechet. And as a bonus, surprises are already scheduled for midnight.
Spend your 31st in the Camargue at Churascaia
Established in the town of Vauvert for several decades, Churascaia is a party institution. The evening takes place in two stages. From 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., a buffet dinner (€56, excluding drinks) will be prepared by chef Gauthier Cabiron. On the menu: salmon tartare with citrus fruits, butternut puffs garnished with crumbled crab, cooked ham buns, cherry tomato and arugula, mini-Burger with duck confit, Serrano Iberian croquetas, scallop skewer with chorizo, rib of Camargue bull and cream puffs to finish on a sweet note. Limited places, reservation required. Arrival required before 8:30 p.m.
The second part of the evening begins at 11 p.m. and ends at 5 a.m. There are only a few places left. The party will be hosted by Capi & Greg Herma as well as Yann Muller, a DJ with millions of plays on Spotify.
