For a few days, Michou is at the heart of a controversy on social networks with his board game. The influencer himself decided to react, explaining in particular that he was withdrawing the game from sale. Gentsu reveals everything to you.
A few weeks ago,
Michou was promoting his game on YouTube, called “Who will be the liar? ». The influencer explained that he had worked for months on this game, that he was “simple to understand, ideal for playing with friends, family, or even with new acquaintances…”. It was therefore again a question of a game presented as family friendly. But ultimately, parents had a very unpleasant surprise in recent days, discovering the board game created by the young man. Many players have denounced questions that are unsuitable for a young audience, even though the game is presented as being accessible from seven years old.
Faced with the outcry,
Michou apologized this Friday evening. In the story of his Instagram account, as well as a post on Twitter, we can read:
I just saw complaints on social media. There was indeed an error on the part of the publisher on the age target of the game, I am finding out what we can do and I will let you know quickly. I want to apologize to anyone who might have been disappointed by this, really.
Michou decides to withdraw his game from sale
This Saturday, December 28,
Michou confirmed on X that its intention was absolutely not to market an unadapted game. He explains that he is withdrawing the game and that customers will be refunded:
Friends, I received messages about the game “Who will be the liar”, you know me, I would never have allowed myself to put these kinds of questions there and even less for such a young audience. I immediately passed on the information. The box will therefore be withdrawn from sale and a refund will be made to customers.
Then he ends his message by saying:
I'm really sorry to everyone this offended, I will make sure that this kind of thing never happens again by redoubled effort and attention on future projects. We'll meet soon for the rest.
