Sean Dyche has made two changes to his Everton starting line-up for the Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side traveled to Goodison Park on Sunday (December 29), with the Dyche opting to start Armado Broja for the first time, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin left out of the XI.
The Toffees are coming off a 1-1 draw against Manchester City on Boxing Day, and the Toffees manager has decided to drop Seamus Coleman in favor of Ashley Young, who is returning from suspension.
The rest of the squad remains unchanged as the Merseyside side look to continue their unbeaten run in the Championship.
Sean Dyche gives Armando Broja first Everton start against Nottingham Forest
Broja signed on loan this summer from Chelsea and was sidelined with injury before recently making his debut on the bench, but the former Burnley head coach left Calvert-Lewin on the bench in favor of the Albanian.
With the Blues 15th in the English top flight, a victory against the Tricky Trees could push them further out of the relegation zone.
Dyche turned things around in December and the noise around his future in the Goodison dugout has calmed to some extent.
The Englishman produced unexpected results at Everton against Arsenal, Chelsea and Man City, taking points away from all three.
As things stand, the Toffees are still just three points ahead of 18th-placed Leicester before kick-off and they can’t take their foot off the gas.
Forest have surprised many in the current campaign and are in the top four in January, which is an impressive feat.
Dyche’s conservative approach to matches has proven successful in terms of scores in recent matches, and the Blues will likely look resolute once again against the Tricky Trees.
In other news, Everton news, an official offer for a Turkish winger is being prepared ahead of the January transfer window.
