The magic of Christmas has once again worked in Mormont. For the 2nd year in a row, the Gîte de la Bergerie hosted Santa’s house. Between December 1st and 28th, nearly 10,000 visitors came to discover the rural world of Santa Claus, this year accompanied by Mrs. Claus, and to take part in the various activities on offer. This edition welcomed around 2000 more visitors than the previous year. “I’m not going to tell you that we could accommodate 15,000, but I think we could have another 2,000 more people easily if it’s well distributed,” rejoices Rolf Amstutz, head of the Bergerie and member of the steering Committee. This year, the presence of Santa Claus was increased, which probably helped to increase the number of visitors. “We noticed that people plan their visit based on the presence of Santa Claus,” explains Rolf Amstutz. In a press release sent on Sunday, the organizing committee confirmed its desire to organize a 3rd edition of the event. The decision will be made in the coming months. /comm-tna
