This Wednesday, December 25, Christmas Day, a player from Mont-de-Marsan in New Aquitaine hit the jackpot by betting on a horse race and finding the quinté in order. His identity remains unknown.
It’s a true Christmas miracle. A player from Mont-de-Marsan in Nouvelle-Aquitaine won the tidy sum of €133,277 this Wednesday, December 25.
To hit this jackpot, you had to find the winning quinté in order in the Prix de la Touraine horse race held on December 25 at the Vincennes racecourse.
The winner also used the Quinté + Spot system, an algorithm which automatically selects five horses to bet on by taking into account the bets of all the other players. The winning combination is as follows: 14 – 5 – 16 – 11 – 4. “He is the only one to have found the order of arrival of the first five,” explains the PMU communications department in Sud Ouest.
Mont-de-Marsan: a lucky town
This gain is the second largest PMU of the year in the entire Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. On June 8, another winning ticket was recorded in Mont-de-Marsan worth €135,000.
This time, however, the lucky winner did not make himself known. Since the start of this year, 213 have won such a victory in France.
