The Scientific Research Support Fund award ceremony in honor of Emeritus Professor Dr Sultan Ahmed Chowdhury was held on Saturday at the auditorium of the National Science and Technology Complex in Dhaka.
This scientific competition, initiated by the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, was organized for school and college students, as stated in a press release.
National Professor Dr AK Azad Khan was the guest of honor, while Zakia Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of Dr Sultan Ahmed Chowdhury Foundation, attended as a special guest at the ceremony.
Emeritus Professor Dr M Shamsher Ali, Coordinator, Scholarship Committee, and Professor Dr Haseena Khan, Secretary, Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, were also present at the event, which was chaired by Emeritus Professor Dr AK Azad Chowdhury, president of the Academy.
Salma Samad, Arman and Saif were also present on behalf of the Dr Sultan Ahmed Chowdhury Foundation.
Professor Sultan Ahmed Chowdhury, a renowned childhood expert in the country, was one of the founding members of the Bangladesh Academy of Sciences, the statement noted.
