Still in an unenviable position in the standings, the Nashville Predators continued their cleaning by making a fifth transaction since the start of the season on Saturday.
The Tennessee team sent forward Juuso Parssinen as well as a seventh-round pick in the 2026 draft to the Colorado Avalanche. In return, she got her hands on prospect Ondrej Pavel and a third-round selection in 2027.

The “Preds” started getting rid of their players a little over a month ago. On November 25, they sent Philip Tomasino to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Two days later, they made a minor trade by acquiring Ryder Rolston from the Chicago Blackhawks.
On November 30, it was the turn of goalkeeper Scott Wedgewood to be sent to Colorado against another goalkeeper, Justus Annunen.
Finally, the Montreal Canadiens pulled off a masterstroke by obtaining defender Alexandre Carrier for fullback Justin Barron on December 18.
Parssinen, 23, played 104 games with the Predators, recording 42 points. Gifted offensively, the Finn was not able to produce as he did in his rookie season when he amassed 25 points in 45 games.
Pavel is a 24-year-old defensive forward who played for the Avalanche twice last year. He was content with two assists in 14 games in the American League this season.
Penultimate in the Central section, the Predators will face the leaders in the standings, the Winnipeg Jets on Monday.
