It’s been 18 months since construction began on the new Spotify Camp Nou, and the process has not gone smoothly for Barcelona. They hoped to be back home by the end of 2024, and alas, that was not the case.
Instead, the club hopes to return to the stadium in March, while February was recently ruled out. There haven’t been many delays during the process, perhaps suggesting that the initial goals set by Barcelona were somewhat ambitious.
Nonetheless, things are going well and earlier this week Sport released a video showing what the Spotify Camp Nou currently looks like, two months before Barcelona’s hoped-for return.

The entire Espai Barca project is not expected to be completed until 2026, but Barcelona are determined to ensure the first team can play at the Spotify Camp Nou as soon as possible, given the financial implications this brings. It remains to be seen whether a return in March is feasible.
