Fans of historical dramas and military action can rejoice: the British series SAS: Rogue Heroes returns with a new season, broadcast exclusively on Canal+ from this Thursday, January 2, 2025. Two episodes will be offered each evening, and The entire series will also be available for streaming on myCANAL.

Created and written by Steven Knight (Peaky Blinders, Taboo), this series of six 52-minute episodes is inspired by the eponymous book by Ben Macintyre. Directed by Stephen Woolfenden (Outlander), it explores the origins of the SAS regiment, one of the most iconic special forces units in the world.

It is the spring of 1943. Following the capture of David Stirling, leadership of the SAS regiment falls to Paddy Mayne. As the conflict shifts from North Africa to Europe, the regiment must face internal and external challenges: the creation of a new unit, the arrival of new recruits, and increasing pressure from HQ, which questions their relevance. Their mission: to prove that the SAS remain essential to the war effort, regardless of the obstacles.

The characters, played by a talented cast, immerse viewers in the tensions and intensity of war. Jack O'Connell, Connor Swindells, Sofia Boutella and Dominic West reprise their iconic roles, joined by new notable figures:

Gwilym Lee (The Great) plays Bill Stirling, David Stirling's brother and creator of the 2SAS regiment. Con O'Neill (Happy Valley) plays General Montgomery.

This new season is produced by Kudos (Banijay UK) with Stephen Smallwood producing, and an impressive group of executive producers, including Steven Knight himself, Karen Wilson, Emma Kingsman-Lloyd, Martin Haines (Kudos), and Nick Lambon (BBC).

With its spectacular scenes and authentic approach, SAS: Rogue Heroes promises a captivating immersion in the history of special forces. Between daring military strategies, personal rivalries and moral dilemmas, this new season promises to be as intense as the first.

Prepare to immerse yourself in an extraordinary military epic, to be discovered every Thursday at 9:00 p.m. on CANAL+ from January 2, 2025, or in streaming on myCANAL.
