The World Darts Championship continues until the grand final on January 3, in London at Alexandra Palace/

After a three-day break, darts resumed yesterday at the world championships. For the start of the third round, big encounters were on the cards such as the clash between Gerwyn Price, former world champion and Joe Cullen, world number 23 or the return to the track of reigning champion Luke Humphries.

In the first match of the evening, the Welshman Price defeated Cullen with difficulty with a score of 4-3. In the last set, the two players had to decide between two sets apart but it was ultimately the first city who made the break to win in the sudden death set, 6-5.

Peter Wright, former double world champion, then dismissed an in-form man and outsider for the title, Jermaine Wattimena. With the score 4-2, the Scotsman never seemed in great difficulty against his Dutch counterpart.

To close the evening, Luke Humphries, world number 1 and defending champion, easily beat the young Nick Kenny with a score of 4-0.

This Saturday evening, the party continues on RTL play, where the matches can be followed, or rewatched, until the grand final on January 3.
