A 64-year-old man lost his life on Friday December 27, 2024, after being thrown from a moving car in Charvieu-Chavagneux, in Isère. Despite the rapid intervention of emergency services, the victim did not survive. An investigation has been opened to clarify the circumstances of this tragedy.
A panicking witness sounds the alarm
Friday evening, around 8 p.m., firefighters were called urgently to the Léchère road in Charvieu-Chavagneux. A witness, visibly in a state of panic, alerted them after witnessing a particularly disturbing scene: a man was violently thrown out of a moving vehicle.
When emergency services arrived, they discovered the victim in cardio-respiratory arrest. Despite resuscitation attempts, the 64-year-old man was pronounced dead on site.
A death shrouded in mystery
For the moment, the exact causes of death have not been established. It remains to be determined whether the man died as a result of the ejection or another cause. No information has yet been released regarding the identity of the victim or the vehicle involved.
The fact that the driver did not stop after the incident raises many questions. The investigation will have to determine whether it is an accident, a voluntary act or a situation linked to a dispute.
An ongoing investigation
The police have opened an investigation to shed light on this event. The testimonies, in particular that of the person who alerted the emergency services, will play a key role in identifying the vehicle and the circumstances which led to this tragedy.
A drama that upsets Charvieu-Chavagneux
This tragic death shocked the inhabitants of Charvieu-Chavagneux, a peaceful town in Isère. The location of the incident, located on a busy road, could offer additional clues thanks to possible surveillance cameras or additional witnesses.
While the investigation has only just begun, the circumstances surrounding the death of this 64-year-old man remain unclear. The Isère gendarmerie calls on anyone with information on the vehicle or the facts to come forward quickly.
