Since the start of the season, Pierre Sage has tried to use the rotation at OL as much as possible to involve his entire group. Some unfortunately did not have this chance in Ligue 1.

Too much rotation kills rotation? Whether at or to HoffenheimPierre Sage had changed almost everything in his starting lineup and OL's performance was affected each time. Having understood his mistakes, the coach limits these changes, but does not neglect turnover this season. With three competitions and a plethoric squad, Sage wishes to concern everyone even if some are not in the same boat. If Anthony Lopes and Paul Akouokou quickly understood that they were not part of the plans and would not have minutes this season, others were disillusioned with these first six months of the season.

Faced with performances or behaviors not necessarily in line with the collective objective, players like Gift Orban or Wilfried Zaha spent more time at home than on the bench. Despite his two goals against during the 3rd day of Ligue 1, Orban was content with only 186 minutes in the championship… For his Ivorian teammate, this is still limited to less presence on French lawns. Not even an entire match in total with 73 minutes.

And what about Warmed? Omari ? Unlike the other two players mentioned, the defender is from almost all OL groups. But he spends most of his time on the bench with only eight minutes in Ligue 1. Young Mahamadou Diawara (16 minutes) and Saël On the bed (177) completes this top 5 of the least used Lyon players. Enough to understand a certain desire to look elsewhere…
