A specific Monopoly to explore Grand Carcassonne or the tour of Grand Carcassonne in 40 squares.
On the last day of class before the Christmas holidays, Éric Ménassi, accompanied by Julie Medves, school affairs assistant, gave a nice surprise to the students of the Aiguille and Floralies primary schools.
In the spirit of the end-of-year celebrations, elected officials offered boxes of the Monopoly Grand Carcassonne game, a local version of the famous board game.
A game to discover local heritage
The 22 boxes, initially reserved for the streets of Paris, were allocated to the towns and villages of the conurbation. The four stations have been replaced by the four vineyards present in the territory and which shape its landscapes and its culture: AOP vineyards of Malepère, Cabardès, Corbières and Minervois.
This gift was designed to introduce younger generations to the heritage and riches of the Carcassonne region, while having fun. Suitable for children, this revisited Monopoly combines playful pleasure and learning about the cultural and historical specificities of the region.
Among the students, the Ulis class (Localized units for educational inclusion) of Floralies also received their box. This warm moment symbolizes inclusiveness and care for all students, regardless of their specific needs.
A value-laden end-of-year gift that offers educational tools that strengthen both children's attachment to their territory and their spirit of conviviality.
With this initiative, the Trèbes town hall wishes to encourage learning through play and mark the end-of-year celebrations with a warm and memorable gesture.
