After the “good slap”, as described by Stéphane Eberlinagainst Châlons-Reims, the CBC was keen to react to Fos-sur-Mer and to restart the horses before the truce. A mission more than successful (73-79), not necessarily in terms of score, but in terms of attitudes, according to the coach.
“End the year with a victory”
Stéphane Eberlin, coach of Caen BC: “Following the last match, the goal was not to win or lose. Beyond that, it was above all the need to show another face. Against Châlons-Reims, we were not at all in our fighting and aggressive values. I really expected something else from this meeting compared to that. This evening, the players responded.
We were better defensively and they gave everything. In our last match, we lacked rhythm, as if we were playing while walking. This time, we set the pace, we had a lot of counter-attacks, especially in the second half and what's more, we managed to take advantage of the absences in front. It was really a great reaction and it was important to finish with a victory to close out 2024.”
While waiting for the last match of the first leg against Gries-Souffel the Friday January 10, 2025 at the Palace, the CBC is entitled to a well-deserved rest.
